I, Not Robot

We’re not writing for Google anymore. We’re not writing for algorithms. We’re writing for people.
That was the heart of a moment from our conversation with Meagan Sweigart on this week's Bullhorns & Bullseyes.
Traffic to websites is down organically for most businesses. Gen AI is changing how people search. The old “keyword-first” playbook doesn’t work the way it used to.
So what does work?
🎯 Focus on your audience, not search engines.
🎯 Use human language that answers real questions.
🎯 Tell stories that make people feel understood.
Because when someone asks ChatGPT where they should vacation, or how to solve a problem at work, it’s pulling from content written in a human way. And it knows who its users are; LLMs have memory.
The irony? Writing for people is now the best way to rank.
Bottom line: if your marketing strategy focuses only on keywords, you’re already behind.
Are you ready to fully let go of the keyword-first mindset? If Google is, maybe it’s time you join them.
